I WANT A JOB IN THE SEX INDUSTRY

Posted by SOSTHENE on 31 Aug 05

I want a job

We don't find people work in the industry, but we can talk with you about some of the issues involved.

Have you read our leaflet 'Is Sex Work For You?' It can be downloaded from http://sw5.info/leaflets.htm

Rape

We've responded to Jill directly.

The Metropolitan Police's project to improve rape investigation and victim care is called Project Sapphire.

If they, or any other police force, fail to live up to the standards of care promised, we'd like to know.

if i want to be a escort agent, so what is the requirement of the law? how can i apply for it or how can i do it?

i just want to know is it illegal or not to be a escort agent.

thanks

Becoming an agency

There is no specific requirement, but as with any other business, you need to inform the HM Customs and Revenue that you are starting up (they will want you to pay taxes on the income and it is far better for you to tell them what is happening than for them to find out about you once you've been going for more than six months).

It's illegal to control someone else's prostitution for gain. The examples given of what that meant included telling someone where to go.. i.e. what an escort agency does when it sends someone to a client.

You would also need to think about why someone would want to work for you, rather than themselves.

have a query via a friend. her "boss" has had a baby, all very nice i'm sure. query is the wg in question now works in the same premises as "boss"& baby live. my oblivious question is what is the latest law's on this situation please? personally i have advised here to move on.

Posted by lisa. on 19 Jul 06

Babies

I'm not entirely sure what the situation is. What do you mean by 'boss'?

But yes, it's rarely a good idea to work somewhere which is someone's home.

Someone else's home, with children around = even less of a good idea.

You can never be sure who's going to turn up, or when, plus many people would see a child being around sex work as putting them at risk.

From the other side, many clients would be put off visiting somewhere with children (cynics say it reminds them of their families...)

Looking ahead, if there is more than one person working on a premises, it's a brothel. It's an offence to allow a child anywhere between 4 and 15 to live in or 'frequent' a brothel.

Dear Madam/Sir,

I am 38-years-old,I live in Worcester and I would be very interested to get a part-time job as a male escort. Could you be so kind to recomend one or two reliable agency which can realy help and find clients, as I understood that most of them are just trying to trick us.
Will be very much appreciated.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Christian.

Posted by Christian B on 26 Apr 07

Please recommend an agency...

For several reasons, we can't recommend any agencies: we can just warn against the ones we know to be scams, and we can talk with you about some of the issues involved.

Have you seen our 'Working For An Agency' leaflet? It includes several things for you to think about.

It can be downloaded from sw5.info/leaflets.htm

If you're looking to escort women, then there are no reliable agencies we know of in your area.

Hi there,

I was and still am interested in becoming a male escort; I read your interesting website about the ones to steer clear off but unfortunately had already been robbed of my money by most of them and I was wondering if you could help me out.

I?m currently in the process in going to work for a company called Men at Work. There website being menatwork.uk.com. I have sent them in a few pictures of me and they are saying they have work for me but want a whooping £225 upfront and of course after losing nearly £500 through trying to become a male escort I was hoping for some advice from yourselves and I was hoping you may have some information on this company.

I would really appreciate any information you have about this matter and or any other information you could give me regarding becoming a male escort

Many thanks for your time.

Barry

If they want money off you, they're a scam

Of course they say they have work for you - they want your money.

If they actually did have work for you, they'd be able to do what real agencies do - only charge you a commission on the work they get for you.

Instead, if you read their terms and conditions, they "make no representation, promise, warranty or guarantee that you will receive work from the Website or that any Client will view your profile" (5.2) - they say that because they know you won't get any work.

What they are is yet another staggeringly bad ad site pretending to be an 'agency'. It's so bad that you can't even see who's advertising on it, you can't be contacted direct, or respond directly to any enquiries in the unlikely event that you get any.

How did you find them? When I do a Google search for "men at work" "male escorts", the only one I can find is their ad on a domain name-squatting links site pretending to be just about Dubai property sales, alongside one for a Swedish self hypnosis site and a 'be nasty to your ex' site. If that's the extent of their on-line advertising, they're not going to find many victims.

Ah, the 'where did you find us' bit of their 'contact us' form talks about the Daily Star and Daily Sport. I am sure those publications have their uses (lining cat litter trays, for example) but let's be honest: how many "high class" women do you think read them in order to find an escort?

It's been an expensive lesson, but I'd have thought you'd have learned it by now.

Posted by Richard on 24 Jul 07

I just found your website today, whilst searching "good escorts" on google, to look for good places to advertise in... I found your webstie really useful, and very reasonnable and full of good advice.
Thanks a lot for starting it up!
I must say I had a paid advert on Punterlink for a good month and not one query came from it. Maybe i should have changed the photo...but sometimes, paid advertising isn't the most worthwhile!
Thanks a lot, SW5

Posted by Euphrasie on 03 Nov 07

Paid advertising

I'm a bit surprised that Punterlink failed to that extent, but I've no personal experience of it - not my market :)

saafe.info is a good place to ask about advertising.

Hi I found your sit out of pure luck. I joined Men At Work just like Barry and Charlie in November 07, and paid £225 to them, I have had nothing from them and started also to think it was a con!!! I have been constantly on the phone and never get my agent Dani I always get some other female. They promised me they would give me work before Christmas and I am still waiting. They said there has been plenty interest in my file and that it has been *Highlighted* but that maybe the men preferred the pther options open to them!! I am very furious as I have never been conned like this before. I really wanted to be an escort but this has put me off. Is there nothing we can do about this site then if it is a scam?

Posted by Gail Mackinnon on 09 Jan 08

I must say that i am surprised that you say that you arent satisifed with Men at Work. I have been with them now for 4 months and I am very happy with the way they have dealt with my bookings. My agent is also Danny, and she has done so much to get me out and about. I have made more money in the couple of hours a week that I work for them than I made before in a month.

are you sure christopher thay have found you work i have been waiting since dec 07 for work how come thire web site now dont exsit

Men in Spain

'Christopher' posted from a computer in Malaga, Spain, otherwise known as the location of many of the scams including Only By Invitation, Starnest Escorts, Brookes Morris International, Elegance4Her, GuysForLadies, AdultsRecruitment, MenRequired, MenForAllOccasions, and AllMaleServices.

Looks like MenAtWork is another one of them. It's certainly the same basic scam. Clearly enough men fall for it again, and again, and again.

Posted by SW5 on 16 Jan 08

Surely there is a way to trace what location a phone number's tone is operating in. What about tracing how a company was formed and where? I cannot believe it is that hard to research all this. Look at all the ways various technology is used to trace people and companies. I'm amazed that these companies are so successful. What is going on!? If 'Christopher' can so easily be traced to Spain......Trace MenatWork!

Posted by Roy on 18 Jan 08

Tracing them

'Christopher' visited a website (here) and thus gave away his general location.

A variety of companies lease out 0870/0871 etc phone numbers and it should be possible to find out which company leases out any particular number.

Whether or not they wish to tell you who (and where) they've leased it to is probably another question, but there's enough money generated from calling an 087x number to have it end up in half the countries in the world, hence the popularity of such numbers for overseas call centres.

See elsewhere here for the experiences of someone who saw an ad in Spain to answer the calls. It can't be a fun job, so they probably continue to advertise it. I suspect that is the best way to come face to face with them... but you'd need to be in Spain and, probably, have a woman to ask for the job interview.

They're successful because there are a lot of gullible victims out there who want to believe there is a market! Because of this, they can afford to have a higher ad spend than any genuine competition. And this bunch use multiple names - Elegance 4 Her, Guys For Ladies, Adults Recruitment, Men Required, Men For All Occasions, All Male Services, Men At Work etc etc - to add to the confusion and hide overseas to avoid most comebacks.

Posted by Richard on 18 Jan 08

So Christopher, what have you got to say about all this?

Posted by Roy on 22 Jan 08

I signed up for Brooked Morris International... paid up £350.00. Where the hell is my money? I have heard nothing from them since signing up in July! I want answers!

Posted by Wendy Lees on 25 Jan 08

I also gave 225 to men at work, their web address is in the back of FHM. i HAVE HAD NO WORK FROM THEM EITHER! Im gutted, thier website looks really professional and now I feel like an idiot!

Posted by Iwan on 26 Jan 08

I was given men at work's number from a friend, and have spoken to them, and they told me i need to subscribe as an escort before they can get me work. they have told me that i would earn £150 an hour. what should i do? i cant find their website anywhere. is it a scam or are they for real?

Posted by Jack on 29 Jan 08

Men At Work -- scamming people!

They're a real scam.

If they really thought they could get you work at £150 an hour, they'd do what every real agency does: take a percentage of your actual earnings.

Think about it - if they could get the level of work they promise (before they've got their hands on your money) they'd make much more money themselves by charging a commission instead of a 'registration fee'.

But they can't, so they settle for getting money off gullible (and very optimistic) men.

There's more about them and the other scams on several other posts here.

Posted by Richard on 01 Feb 08

Please be aware. After finally getting hold of my company : brookes morris international some information has become apparent. some of the members of staff have left and are trying to discredit my company in order for their own to get higher in ratings and brookes morris lower. I am being placed on the front cover of the march edition brochure and have finally been given their contact information. With this company I can keep all my earnings and simply pay a one off fee for them to advertise me as well as security check everyone before I meet them!!

Posted by Wendy on 01 Feb 08

You know you're right when they do this!

Ooh, look, another shiller! *

What is their contact information?

No real busy 'agency' could survive with that charging structure - if it really is doing checks etc, the expenses would mount up without the income to cover them.

Instead, I don't believe Brookes Morris International issues brochures or actually finds anyone escort work. (Work scamming callers, yes, but doubtless that gets boring after a while and new office staff need to be found.)

BMI is an appallingly bad site only interested in finding more victims willing to pay them money. They've prettied it up since the last time I looked at it, but you cannot see anyone's ad on it: the 'gallery' link still tries (and fails) to go to '//216.122.144.237/onlybyinvitation/login_test.php?site=bmi' - Only By Invitation was their first staggeringly awful scam site. How many bookings does anyone think that generates?

It could also not get any lower in the ratings! If you want a laugh, see the results of a Google search for '"brookes morris international"' (without the quotes, nothing relevant appears on the first few pages): here, a complaint on Yahoo Answers, here, them, a complaint on Punterlink, an optimistic victim, and a 'whois' site and... that's it.

If only it were the same for the other scams out there.

(* en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shill - an associate of a person selling goods or services who pretends no association to the seller and assumes the air of an enthusiastic customer.)

Posted by Richard on 02 Feb 08

Just because you are not earning money from them!! I sent them an email explaining about this site and how people thought they were fraudulant etc and they rang me within 24hours. If you email the address on their website they will reply!! x As they did with me!! Shiller huh?!! I am a professional escort anyway! got my own site and everything so dont need BMI to do my dirty work real or not!!

Posted by Wendy on 02 Feb 08

I am number two, you are number six

No, I am not earning any money from them because I'm too sensible to pay to advertise somewhere that will only show my ad to other victims. (And, from what other people have said, not even then - can you see other people's ads?)

I'll happily withdraw the 'shillling' accusation if you'll confirm that you're 'Sheffieldbabe20', advertising as 'Poppy' on Escort24hr:

"I used to work for the escort company Brookes-Morris-International until I decided to go it on my own. I am still a professional non contact escort..."

Why the pretence that they're any good? How many clients did you get from them, honestly? And what did they say? 'No, we're not a con, really, but please send more money because we've got these great international clients just waiting to meet you...'?

Posted by Richard on 02 Feb 08

My mate at work mentioned this site to me today and I have come across this page as the Men at Work website has mysteriously disappeared.

He has been informed, and is no doubt pretty upset about it, then again he hasnt sent them any money yet.

Has anyone reported this to FHM or any other publication that this "company" has chosen to recruit in???

If you search the BBC website bbc.co.uk/xray you will see more details there. They run a program on me. Shame it was only shown in Wales, If England had seen it this would seriously dent their income.

Posted by Palma on 06 Feb 08

BBC programme

www.bbc.co.uk/wales/x-ray/sites/allarticles/updates/8p03_escort.shtml

They rang me but left the wrong phone number to get back to them. (There's someone in Cardiff who gets lots of calls for the BBC!)

The report does seem to be spot on, even though it doesn't go quite as far as I'd like: at the moment, I think it's fair to say that if they're advertising for male escorts, they're a scam.

Posted by Richard on 07 Feb 08

I was the person in the show! The programme was a lot better than the thread. I know a lot about this company now, if you want any more advice email me on palmakins@hotmail.co.uk

Please, Nobody pay money to these scammers. I was booked on 3 jobs in week 1, all cancelled conveniently. Week 2, 3 jobs..... guess what??? Family problems, work commintments, any excuse why the lady was unable to make it. Spoke to a girl who worked for the company who confirmed everything about ake bookings etc.

Scum

Posted by Palma on 07 Feb 08

BBC Programme

Yes, I'm particularly impressed that they managed to get someone who'd worked for them to talk. Presumably it was the author of the ixat.net post reproduced elsewhere here?

Well done to all concerned, particularly you - these scammers rely on victims not speaking out or doing anything about it.

My only worry was that they'd add 'as featured on the BBC!' to their site and either skip over just what was said about them or cherry pick the text 'they had a couple of dates lined up for him in his area over the next couple of days, at £400 a time'!

Posted by Richard on 07 Feb 08

Totally agree with the poor guys who have been robbed of their money, i myself joined men at work in december 07, oh and guess what ? Not heard a thing since, these people should be put on trial for greed, fraud and deception and false information towards innocent people, if i would have known i would have giving the money to a genuine charity ! Trust me stay away from men at work, or alternatively, find there office and blow it up !

Posted by Mike ,bfd on 07 Feb 08

There's obviously a great deal of anger about all these/this companies'/company's activities and this man of integrity, Adrian Powell. But there's scope for action here, at least there's a name and, although it's a gradual process of osmosis, more awareness of what's going on. Perhaps write en masse to one of the Star's competitors, or something. It is quite difficult to go through the courts due to the location of these criminals. Perhaps locating the exact centre of operations, difficult as it is and then each person taking them through a small claims court would help, but as has been indicated earlier this is eaaier said then done, if they are indeed in Spain, (they could actually be registered anywhere. And we all know it's unlikely they'd ever pay up anyway. But it is abslutely infuriating that people are given ongoing freedom to do this type of thing, and then seemingly insulated against retaliation.

Posted by Roy on 08 Feb 08

By the way, isn't there a cooling off period where you can insist on your money back?

Posted by Roy on 08 Feb 08

AM ABOUT TO REGISTER WITH MENATWORK.UK.COM BUT AFTER LOOKING AT YOUR SITE AM HAVING 2ND THOUGHTS AM BEING ASKED TO PAY £22O UP FRONT AM I A MUG IF I GO AHEAD

Posted by FRAZ on 13 Feb 08

Mug?

Yes.

They're a complete scam:

1. No real agency will charge you up front.

2. As far as I know, there are no real agencies for straight men looking for female clients at the moment.

If your optimism knows no bounds, there are free places to advertise, including the main adult work website. But there's loads of competition, including some willing to 'work' for free.

I am one of those that paid Men at Work for escort work when I needed money as I was starting a business and needed to spend as little time as possible earning extra money. Completely naively and way too unrealistically I persuaded myself that they were genuine. The problem is these people use meaningless rhetoric and basically talk alot of horseshit all day, they are used to it, while many people like me are initially partly seduced by the fact that as the adverts appear in a national newspaper (well the Star!) there must be SOME kind of genuine service going on, I fell upon the advert, and fell into a trap, I was 'walking without looking' but I am more than willing to pursue my money that has been stolen and am currently investigating various ways to do that. I am, quite frankly quite alarmed at the amount of people who have actually paid these people, not only on this site but on others and people I've MET. Even a friend, who was all for going over to Spain! Quite unbelievable.

hey guys ive recently signed up with sexyescorts.uk.com but i think this is a scam too. £295 down the pan that i can ill afford. Anyone had any dealings with this agency?

Posted by nick on 08 Mar 08

Sexyescorts

Just wanting money off you tells me that they're a scam. Sorry.

Looking at it, I see the terms and conditions look as familiar as ever. I wouldn't be amazed if it's the lot based in Spain with yet another new name, particularly as it looks like only people who've joined as escorts can see the ads! (Can you see any?)

Interestingly, they only talk about 'male escorts' in those terms and conditions, but the website is also pretending it has something to offer female escorts.

Posted by Richard on 11 Mar 08

Sexy Escorts Ltd?

Oh, they pretend to be a UK company, but there is no company registered with that name - the Companies House listings jump from 'Sexy Diamonds Limited' to 'Sexy Flowers Ltd'.

I have a slight memory that it's an offence to pretend to be a company when you're not.

Posted by Richard on 11 Mar 08

has anybody heard of dream daters and do they know if that is a scam too

Posted by julie harris on 11 Mar 08

Dream Daters

They want a year's payment upfront, you can't see what that is, and it looks like only other 'members' can see the ads = scam.

A look at the testimonials confirms this: they're after isolated single parents, the over 50s, men looking to escort women etc etc. One of them also uses the word 'employ' too.

That last bit is a pity because elsewhere they're not particularly pretending to be an agency. The shorter than usual terms and conditions have:

"Solely (sic) provides an advertising service to private (independent) escorts who wish to advertise their services on our online brochure, we are not an escorts (sic)." I'm guessing that the last bit should be '.. an escort agency'.

For women (or indeed men) looking to advertise, there are many much, much better places to do so. Have a look on saafe.info for some suggestions, especially if you're not working as an escort already.

Please can you let all the people whom complained about Menatwork escort agency about stating they have been ripped off to go into www.asa.org.uk and register their complaints to advetising standsrds agency i noted that there are at least a dozen whom like myself have paid money to get work and have received no work and no replies in many cases
ASA are currently investigating menatwork so they should all go into their webszite and make a complaint they mau be able to get their money back if enough people complain as trading standards will force them to repay them back please contact all customers complaining about menatwork escort agency immediately

Advertising Standards Authority

Go for it.

//www.asa.org.uk/asa/how_to_complain/ has a link to an online complaint form.

They issued a ruling against the ads for another scam, Regal Escorts, last year, and even though that doesn't seems to have stopped them, it is the fourth Google hit for their name:

hi i have heard of dream daters, i called them as part of my research for starting a GENUINE Social ONLY Companions Agency. i went thru the application with them and stated i only wanted social only work no incalls or outcall NO SEX and they said that the had 11 clients near by, that i would get £350 for first 4 hours and £150 per hour afterwards just as a social only companion. then they asked me for the registration FEE. TUT TUT.

i am starting a new agency but it will specialize in Social ONLY Companions in uk & ireland but would also like it to specialize in Straight male & Female professional Escorts. I also have a new Escort Directory which functions as a community. and its all free to join once i have the site populated a bit more then any new escorts and clients joining will be charged a membership fee. you'd really need to take a look around to see what i mean. trying to create a safe enviounment for independent/touring escort and secure meeting place with clients. i was going to let other agencies advertise there but if there are so many scams about. i dont want them on my site. bloody scammer the ruin it for those who are trying to make a difference. im beginning to wonder if i come to a brick wall. well i suppose its early days yet lots of visitors going to the site, if you have any advise guys let me know. ach i give up!

Posted by sharlene on 21 Mar 08

Starting a non-sexual agency

Real agencies don't charge 'membership' fees, they work on commission for work they actually find their staff. The vast majority of work for escorts is sexual, so I suspect you're being optimistic if you think a non-sexual agency is viable.

The alternative is being an ad site.

Charging both clients and escorts for this is a particular no-no: pick one and think of a good answer to the basic question 'why should I pay you?'

But remember that a) you have to be a fairly gullible client to pay to find someone when there are so many places you can look for free and b) there is lots of competition for escort ad income.

As an escort, there are several places I could (and sometimes do) advertise for free, where potential clients can find me for free. These places often charge for certain services (if you want to be 'featured' or sell porn via them, for example) so have a significant ad budget to attract new escorts/clients.

There are also places where I could pay to advertise but be sure of a large audience of clients.

So... why pay you?

Posted by Tristan on 13 May 08

Beautiful adults and Candy escorts = scams

See the Safety tips #2 post here, but BeautifulAdults.com fails the absolutely basic test (asking for money before you have any in your hand!) and the only people who can see your ad are those who've paid at fifty quid for the privilege and CandyEscorts.com also looks like the latest incarnation of the Spanish based scammers behind elegance4her.com / guysforladies.com / adultsrecruitment.com / menrequired.com etc.

Posted by Richard on 13 May 08

Thank you for that, Richard.

I expect the following will be nothing new for you. But I thought it may be of some interest to your subscribers.

You are absolutely right in your appraisal. Since I posted yesterday, I have delved a bit further. These are my findings.

After putting Cherie on the spot at Candy, I found out that nothing stacks here.

1. Firstly, on asking why the money had to be paid up front, and that by no way other than by cash transfer (no credit cards/cheques), I was told this was due to their policy of "discretion". On asking about "whose" discretion, I was told "yours" (ie. mine). On pointing out my partner had no objection to my doing this, and that it was all above board, all I got in return was an embarrassed giggle.

On asking why the money needed to be paid upfront, I was told it was to cover registration, the hired car, and public liability insurance. I then asked for this in writing, but got the "confidentiality" spiel again. So I pursued the line of inquiry re. the whole system, asking what was in it for them. She told me that the one-off payment was to cover all the above, the residue being their profit. Then I posed a rhetorical question in the shape of follow-up meetings with the same client. To cut a long part of the story short here, it transpired that the agency does not care if these are arranged independently between the escort and client. We're back to your point about commission here, Richard (or lack of it).

In other words, they rely on making their money on individual one-off payments. Well, it doesn't need an economist to work out that in this scenario, they have to rely heavily on gullible men registering who never get a sniff of a client (sorry, no double entendre intended). For there simply cannot be enough female clients to go round. I can understand them saying they cannot monitor what goes on after the first contact, but they can surely profit more from that first deal without losing the interest of men unbothered about losing say a 20% cut, and still coming out more than quids in.

2. I have been amazed since the first contact I had with them as to how easy it is to "become" an escort with these scammers. All you need to do is to phone, send a photo and wait for the orders to flood in!! No references, no police checks. Au contraire, they're on the phone to you constantly to announce a hot new date, as long as you dump your money into the bank account first. And they always give you 2 days notice on each occasion.

3. Both these companies have accounts with HSBC. Yesterday I called the bank and had an interesting chat with one of their very helpful operatives. Firstly, and on consultation with her supervisor, she advised me not to pay any money without a written order or receipt on headed paper form the agencies. As she explained this would be standard practice in all real situations. However, she also told me that as a non HSBC customer, in spite of getting a cashier's receipt, I would not be able to get the cash transfer traced if it went missing. Yet the agencies insist you deposit the money yourself at an HSBC branch. Mmmmm!

$. Both agencies are registered at companies house (both in separate names), but in each case the registration is very recent, so neither has submitted any accounts, and as such the "type" of business is withheld. Another interesting point I discovered, tying in with your comments re. Spain above, is that one of them (can't remember which) told me they had recently been taken over by another company.

Well, sorry to have gone on, but just in case anyone out there is still tempted.

Posted by Tristan on 14 May 08

Told you :)

No, thanks for that - if only more people would do even a fraction of the thinking and the research you've done, the scammers would be out of business.

Most 'real' escort agencies don't go in for references or police checks, but yes, they don't just take on anyone who asks... and, of course, the only money they charge is a commission on actual bookings, nothing in advance.

i know a guy that is going to try to be a male escort, but i don't think it's a good idea, i think he can get better jobs, but i want to find out more about these agencies... can you tell me how it works? is it illegal??
thanks

does anyone know anything about candy escorts, paid my money just had client cancel on me twice. feel like it is above board but just don't know. Payed money as they said a client was waiting. what you think?

Posted by debbie on 19 May 08

Not so sweet Candy

See a few posts above, I'm afraid - they're a scam who operate under a variety of names. They only said there was a client to encourage you to give them the money.

Real agencies don't charge you money until after the booking has happened, and you have the money in your hand.

If you're still interested in escorting, have a look at saafe.info - there's lots of good advice there.

Going to try to be a male escort

Good news: it's legal - the exception is if he's soliciting on the street. Apart from that, he can work for himself, for an agency or even in a brothel (running either is naughty, but working for or visiting them is fine).

Bad news: if he's not interested in escorting (i.e. having sex with) men, he should read sw5.info/straightmen.htm - the vast majority of clients for male escorts are men.

If an agency wants any money from him before he's got a client's money in his hand, it's a scam. There are a LOT of scams targetting optimistic men.

Also point him at saafe.info - much of the advice is applicable to men too.

Posted by Richard on 19 May 08

the thing is he is straight, but he doesn't want to have sex or anything, he just wants to keep them company and get the money, i'm worried because i don't think that's how it works, i don't think it's that easy... what do you think?? he said he would never have sex like this... is this a good job for him then??
thanks

Posted by sarah on 20 May 08

Escorting = sex

Not every single time, but nearly. Even bookings that involve some social time involve sex before and/or afterwards.

There was one 'straight male non-sexual' agency that wasn't a scam, but it closed down last year - there's not enough work out there.

As far as I can see, all that's left are scams, including Cavendish Knights and anywhere else that wants any money from the escorts upfront.

This is in response to DEBBIE's post on 19th May....I joined Candy Escorts a month ago, after making bogus claims of their escorts making up to 6k in a week!! (ironically, I haven't made £1 in a month talk less of 6k in one week!)I paid £200+ because I was told they had a client for me, and that I needed to pay first before they could release my number to the client. However, they did exactly the same to me....the client supposedly canceled!!! Same goes for the second client!! I don't think they have any clients...they must make them up! I have not had any clients from them and I have made several complaints....but now they are avoiding my call. I have spoken to a Solicitor, I am considering a law suit as I have nothing to lose, since I am unemployed and entitled to legal aid! I don't mind telling all in court about how misleading and deceitful they are either! I spent my last penny on their fees, in desperation....Please let me know how you are getting on with them...They may have got away with it before, but certainly not this time! Perhaps we could join forces..??

CandyEscorts.co.uk

As mentioned, I reckon this is another domain run by the bunch in Spain. This will make it harder to actually get money out of them - I bet the UK companies they have don't have any assets worth suing them for.

It would be interesting to see if they have the same directors - if so, attempting to have them disbarred would be one way to get some revenge. Knowing how shamesless they are, I wonder if the directors' names are genuine though.

Good luck.

Well, how glad am i that i read your page! I was just about to hand over nearly £400 to candy escorts to become a male escort working out of the Glasgow area. For my money I was promised a web page with my profile, photos and the possibility of international travel with the company!!!! I was also told that they had a client lined up for me for the weekend. 'Katie' an international client who was coming to Glasgow and wanted to meet me, haha. It all seemed to good to be true so a friend recommended that i do some further research about the company. Thats when i found you guys who helped me to make up my mind and keep my hard earned cash in my pocket. Thanks again SW5, you just saved me 400 bucks!!!

ALHA MALE ESCORTS
Avoid this agency like the plague, they are nothing but scammers who promise to find you plenty of work but make sure they steal your 50 pounds first

Posted by Bryan on 09 Jun 08

ALPHA MALE ESCORTS

HA HA mate you're not the only one, they have absolutely no customer service and use a standing order form designed to trick your money out of you by promising only to take money once you have received a job but in small print there is an OFFICIAL USE ONLY this is where they take your money as soon as they receive the returned document.

Hi all,
I feel such a twat, i am disabled and my partner cares for me 24-7.
I had a gr8 idea for him to join dream daters.
We had'nt the cash so i went and asked my mum, this is suppose to be getting us out of debt and now i'm really concerned i've got us further in debt.
Don't get me wrong, they said he had a booking, but was'nt confirmed. Then another bookin the followin weekend, again they said the lady did'nt confirm.
Now we are in an even worse situation than before.
Also last week he was asked if he'd like to upgrade at the cost of £1300.I heard the lady and told him,no way.She Kindly (LOL)offered a discount and said we could just send £900 to be upgraded to european,Bloody funny they can't even get anyone to confirm from here.
I guess they depend on people like us that are vunerable.
How do we get our £300 back for 6mnths fee, omg i feel so stupid, and heartbroken,i was suppose to be solving our problems and we've made them worse.
Has anyone else dealt with Pheobie she never seems to be in either since she convinced us to join.
They said we must put it in writing if we want to cancel, has anyone had any joy from this agency.
I so desperatly don't want it to be a scam,BUT looks like it is.

HAS ANYONE HAD A CLIENT FROM DREAM.DATERS
I've joined after getting the members fee 2gether,and have not had a singe client as yet.
I have called each day over last 2weeks and have been rudley spoke to by the (well prept women)recpitionist.
They have also asked if i'll pay for my membership to be upgraded so a higher class woman will pay me more.I can Hardly believe they think we'll fall for this crap again.
Each time i call to cancel i am told i have a client asking for me,conveniently they dont seem to confirm booking.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I STAND AS FAR AS GETTING A REFUND!
i COULD'NT AFFORD WHOLE PAYMENT SO THEY SAID THEY COULD EXCEPT FROM MY MOTHERS CARD,Thing there is they where asking for her to sign confirmation of her payment.Thank god she refused,it may be of some help.I HOPE
Anyone in same situation.....
I even fell for the B,S that i had 12 hits...
Lets stop these theifing bastards.....together

Dream? Nightmare! Daters

Alas yes, it's a scam. You pay them a pile of money for an ad and they don't show your ad to anyone, except perhaps yourself. That's not what they say on the phone, of course, so you're not the first to fall for it, and I have a horrible feeling that you won't be the last.

If it's a credit card, get her to ask her card company for a chargeback as soon as possible. If it's a debit card, try talking to the bank - this may be slightly tricky as it sounds like she knew you were using the card for this purpose.

It's picking on the vulnerable that makes them such scum. I strongly suspect 'Phoebe' is a name picked at random - whenever enough victims want to talk to 'her', another name will be used.

I too have been considering registering with Candy Escorts but was sceptical because they asked me for £219.00 'up front'. A girl named Carmen told me that this would cover registration and insurance. She also told me that a taxi would be provided by them to take me to and from my 'date'. And I would be paid £500.00 in cash early on in the date.

But when I asked Carmen if they couldn't just simply deduct the registration and insurance fee from the promised £500.00 she told me that they couldn't do that as I had to register for insurance purposes!!!

For this they have promised me a date next Friday with a guy named Patrick, who is apparently a Jewellery Designer. He also (apparently), has asked for 'personal' so that if we get along then he will only ask to see me in future.

Since last speaking to Carmen on Tuesday just gone I have sent several emails telling them that I wish to register and pay cash up front but need a postal address to send the money by recorded delivery (which, obviously, I have no intention of doing), I have heard nothing more and expect it will remain that way.

Being unemployed I am unable to throw away this kind of money and so decided to do some checking for myself before asking them personally for their company registration and VAT number.

However, after visiting this site, I will hold on to my money and attempt to find a reputable agency (if such a thing exists)

Thank you to everyone who has contributed here, this is a great site.

Many Thanks Richard,I was hoping you still did posts here,do you run this?Everyone seems to take your advice.
Thanx for your feedback,
Since all of this she has paid for a protection plan on her card, which i feel bad for but i'm happy she has.
We are trying to except the fact we'll not get a refund,as annoying as it is.

Sorry about going on but my god these lot get ya going don't they.
Well i've called to cancel,as i said i would, and i was told if I wanted, well my fella,if he wanted to cancel,he had to write to them.We agreed.
She said the e-mail add was escorts@dreamdaters.co.uk, she was not happy to give a real address ,surprise.
I e-mailed,we called the next day,
Eventually they replied,to steves not mine and said someone from the office will be contacting him, blah blah blah
The strange thing is they never replied to my e-mail add which is where the orginal cancelation was sent from.I say this because, when I askeds whom we write to,well whose the manager.I said"Shall i address it to Adrian Powell?"who is that."Your manager is'nt it"
"No, my boss is Justin Hunter, thats who you send the email too"
HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS JUSTIN HUNTER?
I've done some searches, but had no joy.Can anyone shine some light on this one,Does anyone know where this nasty LOT are actualy working from?
They must no what they doing is wrong!
Well believe me I don't have much to do since my crash, being in a chair means I have loads an loads of time to EVENTUALLY STOP THIS.WOULD ANYONE LIKE TO HELP ME?
OH last thing today,is the 1st day NO-ONE HAS ANSWERED THERE PHONES.
IS THERE ANYONE WHO IS ALSO BEING SCAMMED BY THEM AT PRESENT!!!!!

The price of candy

Debbie - you know the vast majority of 'escorting' involves being sexual with clients, don't you? If you're ok with that (if you can 'do' casual sex and feel ok, you can probably do it for cash) then there is likely to be a choice of "reputable" agencies locally. See saafe.info for a pile of good stuff on working as an escort.

If, on the other hand, you only want to do non-sexual escorting, then it's going to be much tougher. Even the non-scam agencies that tell potential clients 'you pay for time and companionship only, not sex, oh no' are actually dealing with paid sex. Try looking for a 'promotions' agency, and as ever, don't pay a penny up front.

Tracking down Dream Daters

I think there's enough evidence to say they're in Malaga, Spain. See the ixat.net post copied elsewhere here from someone who was recruited to answer their phones and lie to people. (It also looks like when someone posts here going 'they're great, I make loads of money, honest' they do so from a PC in Spain. Odd that.)

Of course they know what they're doing is wrong. This evidently means that the women answering the phones don't last long in the job - it must be quite difficult to keep lying to desperate people.

They rely on a) being able to find victims via advertising, b) people not knowing the truth about them or the escorting market, c) being physically out of reach of victims, and d) victims keeping quiet out of embarrassment.

So the things I can think of to do include...

o Make as much fuss in as many places as possible about them. Find an ad somewhere? Complain to the publisher! If the ad promises anything, complain to the Advertising Standards Agency!

o Click on their Google 'sponsored links' - it costs them money. A search for "male escort" just now found eleven paid for ads. Seven are scams, including all three of the most expensive ones. (Of the rest, two are not very good dating sites, one's from a male stripper agency that can't get its 'landing page' right, and one needs to target their ad spend a lot better.) Delete Google's cookies and do it again tomorrow!

o Look for questions elsewhere from people wanting to be escorts and tell them to avoid the scams.

o If you know someone in Spain, get them to look out for the 'phone operators wanted' ads.

Sadly, I do not run SW5 which as a service is about to see a series of changes. I also don't know what the future of this site is, but as long as it continues, I'll keep a presence here.

This great site has just saved me £216. I contacted Candy Escorts, and I also was promised a date with Katie, the American failed artist, and also with a Spanish speaking eighteen-year old who was all alone in London town. Both of these dates seemed almost "tailor-made" to me, as i have spent time in Spain and am interested in art. "Ruby", the phone operator, seemed genuinely kind, and won my confidence. By tomorrow, i am supposed to have deposited the money in an HSBC bank account, to cover liability insurance etc, and on Wednesday the lovely Katie is supposed to be handing me over an envelope containing £500 in cash, before we go out for a meal and trip to the theatre.

These scams are disgusting and they are capitalising on our male pride, if you are reading this, "ruby", *fuck you* I hope you go to prison.

This is amazing, i am in the same situation as above with Candy Escorts, only my operator there is called Sharon. I received a call from them today just to ask about me and hobbies(filling in my profile!) I guess tommorow they will call me with my proposed match and ask me to pay their £399!THIS IS DAY LIGHT ROBBERY,a Bonnie and Clyde scenario. Just an hour ago i thought this was going to be a feasible solution to my cash worries as i have just beein laid off due to the Current Credit Crisis. After being robbed previously by Ideal Escorts, having been left waiting for Sadie (who apparently would be waiting in the holiday inn lobby with a bottle of water! at 8pm) who didnt appear to exist, i would have certainly killed someone IF i had not done some research on Candy Escorts. Does anyone know any GENUINE Straight male escort companies or routes to the market, if so, please can you email me as im currently in dispair at the attrocious activities being perfomed by these animals. I await Sharon's call 2moro, and my gosh is she gonna be humiliated, i will make sure she gets a p45 2moro.!!!

More Candy

I smile every time someone doesn't give them any money, so thank you both.

I wonder why they wanted more money off one of you than the other. Greed, yes, but why ask for more...?

I know of nostraight male escort agencies that aren't scams. See elsewhere here (including sw5.info/straightmen.htm) for why, but the basic issue is that it's a lot easier to scam optimistic men than find women wanting to pay for sex.

You can work independently, and there are places you can advertise for free, but there are already over four thousand optimistic men at one site alone and the vast majority of them will never get a booking.

Posted by Richard on 18 Jun 08

One born every...

Ah, I wonder if when you tell Candy / whoever that you've already been scammed, they go 'sucker!!' and ask for more?

Even if they were the lot that scammed you before...

Thank you so much!
I've been looking at joining beautiful adults. They have made everything very easy for me, and have a booking on Sunday! They offered all sorts of things, including a prepaid taxi for collection and delivery. Apparently an Italian lady wants to meet me for lunch. I was suspicious when they said I needed to pay the advertising fee up front, and then when they said I would get £500 per booking, whether it was 2 or 4 hours. Now that seems alot for a male escort to me! Also all the things they supposedly offer, I can't see where they earn their money from! Getting suspicious I did a search this evening and here we are! Thanks again for your advice.

Posted by Jay on 19 Jun 08

I don't know what I would have done if me and my boyfriend didn't get suspicious and come to this site!
I have a 'booking' with a nice american man tomorrow that will get me £500, all thanks to the wonderful Candy Escorts but I have to deposit £319 cash in to their HSBC account before midday so he can get my number.
Thank you for saving me from loosing out on money that I cant afford to!
I have recently lost my job and have to pay rent and this looked like the perfect answer, Anita who I spoke to on the phone was lovely and seamed really genuine. I'm shocked about this but now I know better.
I think this site is brilliant!

Posted by Kat on 20 Jun 08

Hiya people, so so lovely to see all of these comments, thoughts and very good advice.
I would just like to say that there is another company called *PARAGON ESCORTS*. They do all of the usual contacting (by text ONLY) and seem very genuine (as they do), they then say that they work on a trust basis by getting thier commission the following day (before 12pm) of the appointment so it seems like the risk is only with them if the escorts disappears. They take 30% but min booking is 3hrs at £110/hr. All sounds good until the punch line when they send you the meeting details but ask for 50% of the commission no later than 3pm on the day of the appointment as measure of trust from you to them. Texts are sent from *Molly 07797805460* (txt only number).
*SCAM SCAM SCAM*

are agent escorts a scam too, just googled for escort work and their name came up on the ads, they dont charge any up-front fees (so they say) any body have dealings with them???

Posted by kuz on 21 Jun 08

Agent Escorts

Scam! There's more on them on another post here - I remember the name, thanks to making a "the 'double oh' is your earnings" joke.

Ah, yes, they're a clone of the Network Escorts scam down to copying some of the text of their site: if you 'join' them, you'll get a fake booking in minutes = they'll start taking your money even though the booking is for some weeks away.

Clicking on the ad costs them money...

Posted by Richard on 22 Jun 08

Interesting and honest work

Well, escorting can certainly be both of those, but it does involve rather more sex than socialising.

Paragon - 'gon' is what your money will be

Yes, there's a couple of posts about them in the 'Safety tip #2' post here.

Posted by Richard on 22 Jun 08

Hello all,
this site is really superb.
I contacted three escort agencies, all seem to be the same. (europeanescorts.co.uk, candyescrots.com and beautifuladults.com)
Candyescorts contacted me straight away and asked me several question and told me about their fees (219 for a normal profil, 319 with pic and 399 gold profile). She then called me the next day (yesterday) that she got a client ''Richard'' coming to glasgow for socialising. As I was anyway already suspicios about scams and stuff I did a lot of researches befor I would hand out my money to them. Thanks to the researches I did, I found out all three are provided from the same persons. So I got the clue they are scam. Now I found this forum and I am even more certain that they are scam, thanks to you guys. So just not only beware of candyescorts and all the other already mentioned sites, beware also of beautifuladults and europeanescorts! Shame on the people. I even told suzanne that I am sceptical and asked her if I could pay by credit card. She said no its not possible with their system at the moment. I need to pay cash at HSBC in Glasgow as this is the only brach near by. Sham on these people. I will call her tomorrow and just ask her how spain is, as their number is redirected to europe. You can hear this on the dial tone. And I will ask her how Justin Hunter is doing and the Adrian Powell. Hope I will never ever hear anything of them in my life again. Luckily I wanted to pay my money tomorrow (just219£ for the start with). I will not pay a single penny!!! I am really disappointed now, as I really need the money. It was all to good to be true.
Hope more people will see these entries before signing up to those scammers.

im one of the unlucky ones who paid £319 at candy escorts when i apparantly had a client called james who apparantly decided to request some other escort instead! i joined in may and have had no work.

so im working for an agency where you pay commission. i work 4 nights a week, not even earning
£1000 a week at the moment so i have a long way to go till i pay off my debts.

i have an idea for revenge. record a prank call on them and put it on youtube to publically humiliate them!!

Posted by sammy on 23 Jun 08

Hello again,
just to update you guys because of candy escorts. I got a phone call from suzanne today. Apperently I wasn't in and she left a massage. She said that I hopfully didn't paid the money jet, because Richard (the guy I should meet) wouldn't come to glasgow on wednesday. Therefor I don't need register me and should not pay the fee. She said also that she got no further jobs at the moment and she will be in touch with me as soon as something comes in. Funny isn't it? I am really lucky that I found out before I paid the fee, that they are scam. Otherwise I would have lost 219£ today!
So hopefully no more people fall for these scam escorts.
Take care everybody and goodnight.
P.S.: I feel really sorry for you sammy. But least you got another job, where you can earn your money with. I got none at all at the moment and am not this keen to work on my own as an escort. Really like to work over an agency for the start with.
If anybody nows a good agency near glasgow, please email me.

With regards to Candy Escorts they really pd me off. I was one of the naive one's and do so wish I have done my research. I paid £399 into their HSBC account after Cherry told me that some guy wanted to see me the next day. Anyway guess what???? The client didn't call... so i called them and having seen this blog was extremely angry... Anyway as matters unfolded I was told that I was placed on high priority. And nothing came of that so I sent this e-mail:
Hello,

I have asked over the phone for my profile to be removed. I am asking you once more to remove my profile. I have taken great care and time to establish a good idea of where each of you live and who is closest to you. If my profile is not removed and no attempt is made to reimburse my money each and everyone of you will regret ever coming across me. I suggest one of you contact me for my bank details and you arrange for the money to be credited to my account. Every day my money is not reimbursed the amount will increase by £200. Within 14 days if I have not been reimbursed I will pass this case on to a personal friend of mine a professional debt collector and don't be suprised if you and /or your family also have to pay physically. You have 14 days as of today.

I await a return email.

Obviously I was a little angry when I sent that.
This was their reply:
Hi Shaz,

We have looked into your registration and per your conversation with one of our Advisors on the 17th June at approx 18.30pm, you were advised that you were being placed onto ?High Priority? and you agreed for Candy Escorts to automatically release your number when appropriate.

We received feedback on the 23rd June at approx 9.10am that your mobile had gone through to answer phone?

You also confirmed that you were happy with your profile and as per Terms & Conditions Section B. By becoming a member of Candy Escorts.com in the username & password protected ?members? section, you are deemed to have accepted these terms & conditions. *I never confirmed anythins as by the rime i received the password i was angry anyway and had told them to stuff it and give me my money back* And per Terms & Conditions Section H. The service we provide starts when your advertisement is published on Candy Escorts therefore, we cannot offer you the right to cancel ?cooling-off period?.

In addition to this your e mail dated the 20th June whereby you were attempting to be threatening towards us has now been passed through to our Legal Department.

You have requested for your details to be removed and we have now done this for you!

We await to hear from your Solicitor.

Regards,

Candy Escorts.

But ofcourse they can hear from my solicitor if thay had been kindd enough to provide me with a post address......

I will not rest until I have these peopleinfront of me ... lolz.... Seriously this is not a joking matter as I was only doing it for a bit of fun but others have no other source of income so please continue passing on the word. will reply to their email asking for their address so that my solicitor may contact them.

Thanks

Spread betting / Pissed off

Chris: While it is possible to make money doing this, it is also an easy way to lose much more than if you'd fallen for every scam ever mentioned here - no matter which market you're in, someone knows something you don't about it.

Obviously, the bookies (they don't call themselves that, but that's what they are) taking your bets don't make a big fuss about that, preferring to concentrate on telling you about the possible profit, but they're the ones making the most money.

Pissed off: Ah, but you didn't give them the money, did you? That's made our day!

Some words are banned here (to help stop comment spam) but cunt isn't one of them :)

How about Platinum escorts? Their fees cost much less. £50 for a year if you're starting out.

www.PlatinumSelect.com/UkEscorts

Posted by Ginger on 25 Jun 08

Ginger,

I already read that they are a scam.

Posted by Stephanie on 25 Jun 08

Platinum Select - scam!!

They're one of the older ones: in order to get your money, they pretend there is a significant market for 'straight male escorts' and that they are an 'agency'.

There isn't and they're not - they're a crap ad site that will only show your expensive ad to people who've paid them.

When they've shown up on industry message boards to protest that they're not a scam, honest, they've been flooded with people posting their bad experiences: Platinum want potential clients' money too - you have to pay to see the ads, remember - so they're happy to lie about escorts' prices / availability / services.

Getting the money back from Candy

Much of this applies to other scams, but this incarnation of the Spanish bunch of scammers seems to have been particularly successful recently.

The basic problem about suing them is that it's going to be difficult to actually get the money off them thanks to their location, but they do have two basic defences in place waiting for you to try:

1. What they actually promise - showing your ad to other members (i.e. victims) - is so little. (And useless, because you didn't join to book an escort, did you? Neither did they...)

2. They attempt to weasle out of their obligations under the Distance Selling Regulations (the ones that give you a 'cooling off' period when you can cancel a deal) by saying that their service starts "when your advertisement is published".

But do they actually publish your ad to anyone but you? I've never been entirely clear as to whether, as a 'member', you can see other people's ads or just your own.

I suspect it is the latter - they'd get nervous if you could get together with other victims easily! If so, that's a breach of the contract.

I would still caution against spending serious money in suing them: see the basic problem. But if someone wants to try, let us know what happens.

See the 'Tracking down Dream Daters' post above - it's the same people using a different name - and it will probably involve finding their Spanish base via their 'telephone staff wanted' ads.

But there are other ways to get your own back. Got a website of your own (many ISPs give you free space)? Have a link to here! Help this site be the top Google link for the scam site names!

And as ever, keep clicking on those ad links (deleting the 'cookies' your browser has from Google etc means it will appear as a new person doing so), and complaining to the publishers of the ads. If they can't advertise, they will find it harder to find new victims.

I wonder if Candy have run out of their Google Adwords budget, because I can't get an ad of theirs to come up today.

Thanks!!! I would like to work like a escort, are there any legal agency for work in this type of job?. I have a friend who worked ten years ago as escort by agency, he never had any problem but actually this agency have disappeared. Any suggestion?.

Thank you again for your time.

Posted by Thomas on 25 Jun 08

Well if only I had come across this site 3 months ago. Unfortunately I didn't and paid candy escorts £219 for a profile. Both appointments were fake. First one was cancelled because the client lost their luggage on their flight in to the uk.second client never confirmed the booking. *bookings manager natalie called yesterday* she said my number has been given out plenty of times and she will look into why I haven't received any bookings.

Alpha male also have taken 1 months fee. I actually got a booking via email. Said I had to be at the meeting place holding a folded newspaper. Stood there for 2 hours and the client never showed! Feeling like a total fool I will now look for a real job!

Oh p.s. I saw a website (can't remember which one) but they actually call you for an interview first before deciding to take you on as an escort. Does this sound legitimate?

Posted by mahul on 25 Jun 08

Well lads I guess I'm one of a thousand stroies. *Paragon* is the name of the one went to but only paid out 50 smakes. But that's enough for me. But the other is Hilton Escorts in the Sun is another of them. I called last week the woman was very sweet to start with but wanted 300 up front for 6 months. I couldn't afford that. She said she would it for a discount of 200 for 6 months. Me being me I tried to get the money up....no chance..but she is rining constantly or leaving me voice mails. After this woman was putting pressure on to pay. Saying she going away and wanting to get set before she leaves for.....she didn't say. but she was getting shity with me say I'm messing her around and didn't want to work with me because. Yeah ok love. She said she is helping me out by the discount....I smiled it all fell into place really. There are out for people like pyu and I people.....There might be agency out there that women go to.....like you said above...'Do ypu really think that highly payed women are going to read the Sun/star/daily sport...I leave it upto you....read all this above before you go ahead.....internet is just as bad. I'm still trying to find that agency that pays X amount so I can woo a women...it seems like every mans fair tale...but no happy ending.....

Network Escorts - the scam others copy

They've been going so long that so many other sites have ripped off their site/scam that I've lost count.

What happens:

1. You join, because they say they don't charge you until you've had bookings.

2. Five minutes later, ooh, a booking for you... next month.

3. They take the money.

4. You go to the 'booking' (typically a woman holding a copy of the Daily Mail at a hotel) but no-one shows up.

5. You ring them.

6. "Oh dear, that does sometimes happen, but there's someone who wants to see you next month..."

7. Go to #3.

Repeat until you see sense. There are some victim's stories elsewhere here.

I do note that they've changed slightly since I last looked: they used to charge £47.50 (main section) or £37.50 (terms and conditions) a month.

They now look to charge £60 per 'booking' plus an 'annual' fee of £85 the second you get a 'booking', i.e. they're now a more expensive con to fall for.

I'd like to think that change is down to this site meaning they get fewer victims...

Posted by Richard on 26 Jun 08

Liaisons Direct

Their site isn't working at the moment, but Google's cache shows enough to make me suspicious - they're pretending there's a big market for 'straight male non-sexual escorting' and there isn't (sadly!)

They're also not terribly literate: work is 'guranteed' (honest), they will 'contact and you', and site's target group is 'such has ABC1 Professionals'.

Their use of PayPal is against PayPal's terms and conditions: if PayPal knew, they'd lose their account and typically be fined by them too.

It's not clear when the optimistic men will be charged - the latest 'Paragon' scheme seems to be to charge the first booking's commission prior to the actual booking - but I'll bet it's before they've got the client's money in their hands.

IS THERE ANY LEGITATE AGENCIES OUT THERE FOR MEN?

Posted by amen! on 27 Jun 08

NO!

Or at least, not unless you're interested in being sexual with men.

In the 'straight male' market, there are a handful of agencies that are mostly about female escorts which have a couple of men, but you can bet that they get far more 'can I join too' enquiries from men than they get real bookings for their existing male staff.

Posted by Richard on 27 Jun 08

i was so close to getting involved in all this but decided to chuck a search in to google on a friends advice and boy am i glad im sorry to hear the stories but thankfull i can learn from your misfortunes if nothing else folks you have just cost an agency another fools money thanks people hope you all have great success in getting your money back and your careers

I too thought that this would be a great way to earn good money! I e-mailed them a few days ago and within an hour I was phoned by a lady who took my profile straight away, which at that time it just seemed all to easy!!! She even said she might already have someone in mind!!

I know somebody else that had just paid with the promise of two bookings, but just like everyone else they were cancelled last minute, not sure what reason was given, they did recommend that he drop his age 5 years being that he is an older man, and since they will not return his calls or e-mail, I did then become suspicious!

Fortunately for me I haven't paid them yet and now I won't!!!!!

DO NOT TRUST CANDY ESCORTS

If anyone knows of a genuine one please let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad I got suspicious and decided to check them out!! An Old saying " If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is"!!!

Posted by Andrew on 04 Jul 08

Genuine or fake booking?

Well, pigs might fly, but I'm not about to pay for a booking with Pork Air just yet.

A booking that far ahead is rare in the real world, and escorts should always, always, always get cash up front, not at the "end of the booking at her discretion".

Unlike some of the other scams, it is possible to request someone via the Alpha Male Escorts site, although not in a way that is likely to generate any bookings (most real agencies and all real ad sites let clients browse profiles / pictures etc).

Having said that, I'd be amazed if it were genuine, not least as this is the excuse they need to extract money from you.

A real agency wouldn't be charging you anything until you had cash in your hand from 'Debra', for example.

amazed to hear about paragon TARA BLACK DRESS LATE 20S WHITE SCARF WAS SUPPOSED to meet me too.... i didn,t pay... just did n,t seem right. very convincing..what money they must be earning.glad that they are being talked about here..my wife wants a genuine escort agency does anyone know of one.

Hi guys, this site has saved me money too, I was considering paying Men at Work 295 pounds until i stumbled on this site. Thank you.

So are there any legitimate agencies out there?

Posted by Dean on 05 Jul 08

Hi everyone. I had the same experience with Alphamale, folded newspaper and everything (Imagine all the guys out there 2night holding newspapers, they might aswell just read them!)

The funny thing is they didn't get any money out of me, I promptly cancelled with them anyway. I also won't give anything to Candy or Menatwork and another that's been in touch called'Escortopia'...check them out. Another is Charming employment, gave me a date last month for the 24th of this month at a bloody Wetherspoons in Brixton, I checked out the pub and it's a real spit'n'sawdust joint, they're the only ones who have had some money out of me, they charge £49.50 per month for 'advertising'.

Speak to you again guys. great website

Posted by Daz on 05 Jul 08

Also guys checkout Diamond employment. They take £20 per booking(fair enough)They don't charge a 'registration fee' but I was called by a chap called Adrian saying he will be my 'area manager' like some kind of pimp. Anyway they do charge for a 'card' £35 postal order, cheque or cash. I haven't recieved the card yet and it's been a fortnight. I've called 'Adrian' and left 2 voicemails and had no reply. What do you think Richard?

Posted by Daz on 05 Jul 08

Hello everyone

I had an unfortunate experience with Paragon Escorts. Paid £70 to 'register'. Went to the so called booking. No one turned up. Since then have left numerous messages and text messages. One saying they'll be in touch soon, the others left unanswered. PARAGON- A MASSIVE CON. Plain and simple fraud.

Posted by Robin on 05 Jul 08

Is Escortopia a bona fide agency?

Posted by Robin on 05 Jul 08

Scam, scam, scam, egg and scam

Basic test: does the 'agency' want any money whatsoever from you before you have cash in your hand from a client? Yes - it's a scam!

Diamond is a not uncommon name - some genuine female escort agency just got charged by Google when I clicked on its ad to see if it was the one, and I also found ones in Little Rock AK, and Thailand before your one!

I also found Diamond UK - diamonduk.info - which looks dodgy, but there's not enough info on the site to be certain they fail the basic test. From the look of the just over forty male victims and about twenty female ones, I'd bet it does.

Yours is Diamond Escorts, AKA Diamond Escorts, AKA Diamond Employment - diamondescorts.tv - isn't it? From the name, I'm guessing a Network Escort scam clone, let's see...

Yes! Even down to lifting huge chunks of text including "The general age guidelines that we tend to stick to are between 20 and 60 years of age. These are not cast in stone however above and below these two ages are seldom requested"!

A reminder of the scam: although they say it's 'Absolutely Free', with only £20 per booking, as you've found, they want £35 up front and quite possibly the 'commission' for the fake bookings as well.

Escortopia: scam! See elsewhere here, but it's the Spanish lot with a domain name that I think they've only recently started advertising. (If they've been in touch without you contacting them first, it just screams out that it's the same scammers as behind Candy, Men At Work etc.)

Speaking of which, looking for Diamond found Hilton Escorts, yet another new one to me - my guess is that it's the Spanish lot (again again), but it's another scam.

Posted by Richard on 06 Jul 08

I am a male trying to find work as an escort, social or personal, i just wish i had found this site 3 weeks ago, i have paid European Escorts £325 to register and have my profile with picture on their website!

My booking cancelled, had to go back to new york on buisness!!!!!

was gullable to believe them, just signed with platinum, thats getting cancelled!!!! was going to pay paragon tomorrow to register as they have a job for me in blackpool!!!! well that wont be happening.

wish i had researched more, i got caught up in the fantasy of it all, the thing is i actually do want to do this work!

oh well, no point crying over it, even tho i cant afford to loose the money i have already lost, saved myself £70 by coming on here.

Oh well another lesson in life learnt!

Posted by ABS on 06 Jul 08

Hello again Richard. I did apply to Escortopia before 'Chris'(female)got in touch with me, she did the same as Candy and Menatwork, asked for different amounts of cash, you know, £219 and more. What do you think about 'Charming' though?

Here's a laugh anyway, with Alphamale the bank sent back to me the DD form because there was no commencement date for release of funds so the doz y buggers forgot to insert date in 'official use only' section so I did it instead for after the booking, gutted or what 'Laura'. speak again everyone.

Posted by Daz on 06 Jul 08

I had a mate who had a booking off Paragon and was contacted via text and did actually meet up with a client and had a 3 hour booking, i myself tried this payed £70 in to a bank account and was supposed to meet a client with no-one showing i contacted them and they are saying they are investigating another agency of playing underhand to mess me and them about and will of course offer me another booking so i dont know what to believe

Posted by thepimp on 06 Jul 08

Hello again

Is it possible to easily take legal action against these people? Paragon give an address on their website, though I appreciate it may be false. Perhaps we should all join together in some way in order to do this?

Posted by Robin on 07 Jul 08

Hello again Richard. What would you say is the best route to take to get my 'card' money back from 'Diamond' and dd monthly'advertising' money back from 'Charming'. Thanks mate. Daz.

Posted by Daz on 07 Jul 08

Actually getting a booking

There are two sorts of scams: ones where there's zero chance of getting a booking and ones where there's a tiny chance.

The 'Spanish' ones tend to be the former - what your several hundred quid gets you is a 'profile' only you can see. If you look at their sites, there tends to be no way a prospective client can book anyone at all, or in some cases, doing so without paying.

If you look around here, there's someone who got a booking off Ideal. Now, there's no question that Ideal are a scam - they lie about the level of work, they're not an 'agency' as generally understood (see the basic rule), and they have a distressingly large number of optimistic men paying them £40 per month (or £280 for a year) - but it is possible for someone to browse the profiles of their victims (this is how I know how many there are) and, in some cases, contact them.

With Paragon, it's not possible to see anyone, but there is a form to request someone, and given their ad spend it's not impossible that someone's done so. (It probably shocked the scammers!)

But I promise you that your mate's either the exception or he's fibbing rather than saying 'I was scammed', and that your experience is by far the most common. How do you know to trust me more than them? I'm not asking you for money!

The ability of the scammers to outspend anyone attempting to run a 'genuine' straight male agency is one big reason why there currently aren't any genuine ones.

Posted by Richard on 07 Jul 08

Hi,

I'm successul, interested in you, want to take you for a dazzling night out, give you £500 for the pleasure and hey, there's no strings attached.

It would be lovely it it were true but I just don't think there are that many lonely rich businessmen/women out there . Certainly not ones ready to throw £500 before the nights begun on a total stranger they've picked on a website from an agency they know doesn't vet their escorts.

My friend was about to join beautiful adults after sending in the appropriate two photos (taken on a mobile) and passing the interview (on the phone). Hardly the kind of 'vetting' potential escorts hope the agency has done on the clients.

Good job the clients don't exist.

Thanks for this site- it's made my friend sit up and smell the coffee (with the £200 still in her pocket)

Posted by cathy on 08 Jul 08

So, who wants to set up a genuine agency looking for straight men to escort women? If there isn't one in existence, why don't we make one?

Posted by Cain on 08 Jul 08

exactly, cain. genuine/real agencies get commission after the booking like the one i work for and that one is set up by a former escort herself. ive been with them for a month and have made £4000 so far and today have cleared all my debts (including paying off the £319 on my last credit card i paid to candy escorts!)

real agencies also charge the client about £150 an hour (and i'm left with £60 of that money. the other £90 goes to the agency and driver....they need to make money somehow)

Posted by sammy on 08 Jul 08

Hello everyone

Like Cain said, why don't we start an agency ourselves? I know none of us know each other but lets face it we can't be ripped off now can we? I have no idea how to go about it but it must be possible. I realise there may not be a deluge of work but the odd booking beats none at all.

Posted by Robin on 08 Jul 08

Real agencies

Cain - I have thought about it. But if you're going to start an agency, you do one that aims to have male clients, regardless of whether it has female, male and/or trans escorts.

Because just as no-one should give up their day job to be a straight male escort, no-one should give up anything to run an agency for them: see the fate of those who've tried. Not only do you have minimal income (20% of nothing is nothing) you also have a stream of men wanting to join, and dealing with them takes time better spent doing something else.

But three ideas do occur to me:

1. Do a scam clone or two - look just like the scams, but at the signing up point go 'Noooo, don't do it! Sites like this are scams!'

2. Adapt a dating site program, allowing viewable profiles etc. Be completely upfront about the fact that straight men are unlikely to get any work. People who donate money anyway get shown first, and the money goes on Google Adwords ('We will fight them in the Adwords, we will fight them in the Google rankings, we will fight them in the Advertising Standards Authority adjudications, we will never surrender...') or other places where they advertise. This might work, but it'd be 'work' to run.

3. Just point people at a particular adult work site - it's free to use, so let that site deal with the hassles, and if men want to be the 4,592nd man looking to escort women there, fine.

Currently, I'm tending towards #3. Why reproduce what is (for this purpose anyway) a perfectly good site?

Sammy - while I'm glad you're happy, most people would say that split should be at least the other way around, so you get the £90, them the £60. (Or better, but never less than 50:50!) It's you getting shagged, while they sit on their bums.

Posted by Richard on 08 Jul 08

yes richard, i thought in my head on the first night how unfair it was but i just cant say anything but even the driver thinks the escorts should get more. after all, were the ones having to go through with it! i would love to work for an agency where u can earn more money (i wouldnt be an independant for safety reasons).

Posted by Sammy on 09 Jul 08

Women have a choice of agency

That the owner is a former escort makes it worse, really.

I'd be amazed if there weren't other agencies operating where you are. Try asking on saafe.info?

Posted by Richard on 09 Jul 08

hi sammy does the agency you work for take on male escorts?

i wouldnt mind £60 better than a kick in the teeth!

thanks

Posted by survivor on 09 Jul 08

thanks folks..
3 of us have just sat here and read all the info above and can confirm that OUR WORLD HAS BEEN DESTROYED!!!!
Lucky for us however we had not yet parted with any money !
Our SCAMMER was Beautiful Adults ...promising an abundance of clients and a weekly income of about 3K LOL LOL
Our only concern was the £395 joining fee and the fact that this had to be paid after the client had made the appointment before the meeting where they would simply pass £500 cash!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh

Lucy was our contact and was eager for us to join asap as there were so many clients awaiting a meeting

She was fantastic and we all spent time talking to her....we questioned everything and were given all the reasons as to why they needed the fee and the process involved!!!

Does anyone know of a real agency ?????

Im sorry for those of you who have lost money!
we will be calling wonderful Lucy later today and drilling the B*.

Gutted as we should have been rich by next week :)
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hi. I have actually had work with Escortopia. I have been out on 2 bookings. All went well and have my next booking for sat night. I live in London so I spose its a busier area.

London? We don't think so

'Paris' said "I live in London..."

In that case, why do you appear to have posted from another country? (Readers are left to guess which, but it's one which many people go on holiday to.)

If you ever are in London, and would like to have a chat, just post again with your email address. (It's not displayed if you put it in the email box.) Until then, we don't think many people will believe you.

What she gets the £60 for

Survivor - there are indeed agencies that will get you work at that rate, at least in places like London and Manchester etc.

The possible downside is that it will involve what she does for the money: having sex with men!

If that's still better than a kick in the teeth, look at the gay press / websites and you'll see ads for agencies or men working independently.

for crying out loud can someone share their experiences with beautiful adults please

Posted by jodie on 10 Jul 08

Beautiful Adults = scam

They advertise (as top Google ad just now, so quite expensively - every time you click on their ad, it costs them money) for male escorts claiming you can earn £2k a week escorting women. Complete crap. They'll also take women's money.

Your £49.99 for 3 months 'membership' gets you able to see your own profile, and possibly - no-one's ever confirmed this - those of other victims, erm, members.

Only those who have paid that money have even a chance of seeing your details: how many bookings do you think that will generate?

Sadly, some people have fallen for it. See elsewhere here for their stories.

Hi Guys well well well, I'm gobsmaked at what I have just read above. Me and my husband saw an advert in the Daily Star for hilton Escorts made an online enquiry and ruby rang me who then passed me onto Kyra in recruitment (who thinking about it now, sounded like the same woman.

She told us that the registration fee was £345 for the year (as a single) or we could pay £600 for the year to register and work as a couple, and that we would get work going out with other couples!! Something didnt quite seem right so I researched on the net and here I am.

And how glad am I that I did!

I havent parted with any money and I won't be. I shall be ringing Kyra on the 0871 number first thing Monday morning and calling the the b***h all the names under the sun until the line goes dead.

I have to say that I'm gutted as I'm sure you'll all agree, escorting sounds like the perfect job.

But surely there is a market for it so where do clients find these escorts from? Cos obviously, the are all getting scammed by these "agencies" aswell.

There must be legitimate agencies somewhere in the UK.

I thought Cavendish Knights was reputable as they seem to have testimonials from celebs, newspapers and tv?

I don't understand whats going on. I'm confused by it all. I actually thought that people did this type of work, but how? Independantly?

Our dreams of earning 3K a week have been dashed.

Ah well....

Thanks Guys

Two for...?

If you understand that 'this type of work' almost invariably involves being sexual with clients, who are usually single men, then yes, people do it, including as couples.

Relatively few genuine agencies deal with m/f couples (a lot more will offer two women) so most do it independently. Several ad sites, including some free ones, enable potential clients to search for couples. You're unlikely to earn £3k a week though, especially if your husband's straight.

Don't ring her - it costs *you* money and they might even get a cut of it. Instead, complain about the ads to the Star! If they don't stop taking them, complain to the Advertising Standards Authority!

There's a two year old comment on Cavendish Knights to another post (sex work law) which gives the reasons for my cynicism about them. They might be cheap, but they're still a scam.

You can say 'bitch' here too :)

Candy Escorts are just one of many scam websites run by an English crook living in Spain. His name is Toni Muldoon and if you Google his name you will find lots of info about him. The data on the domain (luke@imm2001.com) is his IT guy. IMM2001.com is Muldoons scam estate agency. He has done many, many scams in the past - all things from Timeshare Fraud to this Escort scam. He is making a lot of mney! And I do mean a lot! If anybody would like to contact him directly, you can call him on 0034 607606273. If you want an address leave a post here!

Another thing, if you go to damiantools.com and type in candyescorts.com to do a search, you will see that luke@imm2001.com has registered 30 domains and that Mr Muldoons "marketing company" Mayfair Marketing, owns 70 domains!! A lot of these scams are all linked! I live near Malaga and used to work for Mr Muldoon, so I have a lot of inside information, if anyone would like it! Just leave me a contact email!!

Did anyone ever got a client from allmaleservices???

Posted by Ponting on 16 Jul 08

thanks SO much for this site whoever runs this, you have just saved me £70 asked for by paragonescorts.co.uk (stangely in advance and without even a picture of me!) for my "booking tommorow, sent via text (07797 800616) thanks sarah but no thanks!

and also alpha male escorts with whom i received my standing order form this morning!!

i was very wary but was willing to take a pun on £50-£70 quid as a gamble but i did a bit of research and found this site! i also do tv and modeling work and no genuine agencies ask for any money and all is paid direct into your bank account

Posted by justin on 16 Jul 08

All Male Services

Highly unlikely - before you can be allowed to see everyone's profiles, never mind make a booking, you have to pay at least £30 to 'join'. How many women do you think do that?

The combination of this, pretending there is a large market, and pretending to be an agency yet charging people in advance = scam!

Posted by Richard on 16 Jul 08

Toni Muldoon

Alas, you need to pay Domain Tools before they'll let you see the list.

Some of those other scams are remarkably similar to the escort ones: "Hello timeshare owner, we have someone wanting to buy your timeshare for lots of money, but please pay us several hundred quid first..."

Once the victim does so, amazingly the buyer is unable to finish the purchase (one of the drawbacks with being imaginary, that), and the victim is promised the agencies 'best efforts' to sell it to someone else for a year and only then will there be a refund. Come the end of the year, the agency is out of business, all the money's gone, and a new agency started. Repeat.

Kyra from Hilton Escorts phoned me back on Tuesday to see if we had thought about it and did we want to sign up.

I said I had researched their "company" (which is not registered with Companies House) online and I have found it to be a big scam, she asked "where" and I said all over (but this is the only site I've found but it's good enough for me.

I said "you take peoples registration fee and then never get them any work or the client cancels at last minute and she said "we wouldn't have a credit card facility darling if we were a con" so I just said "i cant risk it" and she said "ok bye" and the phone went down.

I thought someone might have rang me back to try and explain but no one did!

Arseholes.

Keep up the good work Guys

Hilton Escorts

Hooray!

Do they really accept credit cards?

That'd be brave, because you can chase your credit card company for refunds ('chargebacks') when the thing you've bought turns out - as with Hilton - to be crap. The credit card company then takes the money off whoever sold it to you.

This is why they usually seem to want direct payments into their bank account, or sometimes a debit card, where you're waving goodbye to your money with no hope of seeing it again...

Posted by Richard on 16 Jul 08

Credit Card Transactions.
It is true that you can chase your CC company for a refund, although it can be a long winded process. For instance, in the small print of Mr Muldoons timeshare resale scam, it states that "in the event of a sale falling through, we will market your timeshare free of charge for 12 months". This leaves the CC company an angle to wait 12 months to repay your charges, as you are still receiving the services offered. By this time the company has folded and reopened under another guise. In fact, most people end up forgetting about it! I am not sure what the small print on these escort sites says, but it may be worth reading and making note. I am sure that Mr Muldoon now only wants to accept bank transfers so he doesn't have to put up ith this little "inconvenience" of the CC companies claming back payments from him!!

Do you reckon I should pester for a refund? Or turn up to my "booking" tonight? Does anyone know which authority I should contact to report this scam?
